(Lander, Wyo.) – During Tuesday’s Fremont County Commission meeting Coroner Ed McAuslan is expected to continue the discussion about bringing a forensic pathologist to the county.

McAuslan brought up the idea in November 2013, suggesting the county hire a forensic pathologist in the next budget year. He said the county could generate some revenue from the position as other neighboring counties could use the pathologist’s services. Currently, there are no operating forensic pathologists in the state and bodies needing an autopsy are sent to Loveland, Colo. (Read more about the initial discussion here.)

The commission meeting is set to start at 9 a.m. in the Fremont County Commission chambers at the courthouse in Lander. The forensic pathologist discussion is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
