(Lander, Wyo.) – For 46 years, the Wyoming State Winter Fair has brought a great experience to the Lander area. The Winter Fair made a call this year for a show of support, suggestions and volunteers to help put on this annual event. The Winter Fair Board was encouraged by the positive show of support and the new ideas; some of which are being implemented this year and others will be put into place in future years.

And now here it is, the 47th annual Wyoming State Winter Fair!

With re-invigorated enthusiasm, volunteers are working make this year's better than ever.

With re-invigorated enthusiasm, volunteers are working to make this year’s better than ever.

In a continuing effort to improve the Winter Fair, the Lander Old Timers Association is sponsoring a Ranch Rodeo on Friday, February 28. The popular miniature bull riding will be back this year on Saturday, March 1.

The Horse Show will be held on Sunday, March 2. The Horse Show looks to be a fine equestrian event. We have events for novice horsemen through the experienced rider. There are halter, performance and showmanship classes. Some of the classes have been combined to make it a more competitive and quality show. Please check out the updated classes and rules that will be available in this year’s brochure. There will also be poles and barrels in the afternoon of the Horse Show.

The Trade Show will be on March 6-8 at the Fieldhouse and will feature a wide range of quality music, dance and other talent from the local community and region. Please come and enjoy the performances and bring the entire family. We will, as always, have a diverse range of quality vendors, concessionaires and community organizations.
