Wyoming Poet Laureate Echo Klaproth of Shoshoni will perform at tonight’s Cowboy Poetry Gathering. Wyoming Arts Council photo. (Riverton, Wyo.) – This is a busy weekend for Riverton’s Wild West Winter Carnival, and it gets started tonight with a Cowboy Poetry Gathering at Central Wyoming College. The talent of Echo Klaproth, Buffalo Bill Boycott, Jerry Bell, Ron Bailey, and Ron Yager, to name a few, will be performing starting at 6 p.m. at CWC’s Little Theatre. Admission is $10 or $5 with a 2014 WWWC button. There is limited seating available. The fun continues tomorrow a host of events downtown. Ice Sculpting competition starts at 9 a.m. on Main Street. Tethered balloon rides, Hole in One Golf, and the Kids Coin Grab will all be held at Riverton City Park. Tomorrow evening concludes with the Riverton Rotary hosted Crab Crack and Coronation of the carnival’s new King and Queen at St. Margaret’s.
