(Lander, Wyo.) – The 18th International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race starts tomorrow in Jackson Hole, and race related events will come to Lander on Monday and Tuesday of next week.

This year 17 mushers are hitting the eight different stops along the lengthy race schedule. Three Wyoming racers are participating this year: Lander’s Jerry Bath, Jackson’s Stacey Teasley and Alix Crittenden of Willow, Alaska, and Bonderant, Wyo. Last year Bath finished the race in eighth place.

On Monday, the mushers will hold a meet and meet and greet with the Lander community on the 200 block of Main Street from 5 to 6 p.m. A video of the 2013 festivities will be shown at the Gannett Grill at 6:30 p.m., followed by live music from Screen Door Porch.

The Lander stage of the race starts at 9 a.m. at the Louis Lake parking area on South Pass.
