(Riverton, Wyo.) – Two Riverton men were arrested in separate incidents of alleged Domestic Battery, one Monday evening and the other Tuesday morning. In the latter case, the boyfriend of a 21-year-old woman reacted badly when his girlfriend told him that she was unhappy with their relationship and instead had begun a romantic relationship with another woman.

A police report indicated the woman thought that it would be a good time to tell her boyfriend, identified at 25-year-old Casey Peters. Apparently it was not. The trio had been at a residence drinking and talking when the Peter’s girlfriend told him that she was having an affair with the other woman in the room and wanted to break it off with him. Peters allegedly became enraged and allegedly began striking the other female in the face with a closed fist. When his girlfriend stepped in to protect the other woman, Peters allegedly began to strike her. When police arrived at the scene, in the 800 block of East Fremont, the other woman was found outside the home bleeding from a cut above her right eyebrow and with swelling on the right side of her face. Peters was arrested. The other woman 26-years-old.

In the first reported Domestic Abuse, police were called at 7:50 p.m. Monday to the 1700 block of East Monroe where Paul Cady, 47 was arrested for Domestic Battery and interference. Police had received a call requesting a welfare check on a female subject who as on the phone with a friend when Cady allegedly grabbed the phone and the call disconnected. Upon arrival, the female was found crying and holding the front and back of her throat. She had redness on one eye and abrasions on her chin. She said Cady had choked and hit her after the two began arguing over money and bills. She said they had been dating about 4-5 years.
