Four candidates have filed for two vacancies on the city council.

(Riverton, Wyo.) – With three days left for candidates to file for two vacant seats on the Riverton City Council, one more candidate has thrown his hat into the ring, making a total of five candidates, three in Ward I and two in Ward III.

The vacancies were created with the resignations of Ward I’s Eric Heiser and Ward III’s John “Lars” Baker at the last meeting in December. See that story by clicking here.

The candidates to date are:

Ward I

Phil Lavoie, Waylon Oldman and  Kyle Larson

Ward III

John “Lars” Baker and Martin Cannan

City of Riverton residents interested in one the vacancies can write a letter of application and turn it in at City Hall. The candidates for the vacancies will be interviewed and the vacancies filled at the council’s first meeting in February.
