(Shoshoni, Wyo.) – Boysen State Park officials said there were no injuries after an ATV broke through the ice and sank Saturday night. According to Park Superintendent Dan Marty, three men were riding on the shoreline in a Yamaha Rhino about two miles south of the Tough Creek Campground, but decided to go onto the ice at one point.
“They went on the ice in an area where the railroad had been previously moved from, so instead of a gradual decline, the shore dropped approx. 8 feet. The vehicle sank to the bottom and all three men were able to get to shore. They walked the two miles back to their camper. Names of two of the three were two brothers Jeramy Frick and Justin Frick. It is believed that Jeramy was driving,” a statement said.
A tow truck retrieved the vehicle from the reservoir Monday at the expense of the brothers.
