(Lander, Wyo.) – In October 2013, fourth-graders Mia Copeland and Tori Newton shared with Sustainable Schools International (SSI) with Principal Leslie Voxland, which was started by Kari Grossman, a former LVHS graduate, Baldwin Creek Elementary School’s Christine Lutterman said.

SSI bridges gaps in access to education by improving schools in rural Cambodia.

For approximately two months, Baldwin Creek students and staff wore their hats of all different shapes and sizes on Friday’s for 50 cents, Lutterman said. Overall, $625.27 was raised plus an anonymous donor matched the donation for a total of $1250.52.

This money will help about 12 students get an education this year.

A special thanks to Mia and Tori for wanting to help kids in Cambodia plus all the students and staff who contributed to this great cause.
