Four candidates have filed for two vacancies on the city council.

The deadline to apply for two vacancies on the Riverton City Council is January 31st. 

(Riverton, Wyo.) – With one full week left for candidates to file for vacant seats on the Riverton City  Council, four candidates are in the running so far, two in each ward, City Administrator Steven Weaver said today.

The vacancies were created with the resignations of Ward I’s Eric Heiser and Ward III’s John “Lars” Baker at the last meeting in December. See that story by clicking here.

The candidates to date are:

Ward I

Phil Lavoie and Waylon Oldman

Ward III

John “Lars” Baker and Martin Cannan

City of Riverton residents interested in one the vacancies can write a letter of application and turn it in at City Hall. The candidates for the vacancies will be interviewed and the vacancies filled at the council’s first meeting in February.
