(Lander, Wyo.) – The fourth annual Taste of Lander set a fundraising record for the local no-kill shelter Lander Pet Connection.

LPC President Deborah Ellis reports that initial calculations show the nonprofit received net  earnings of roughly $10,000. Ellis said this is “the most we’ve raised from this event to date!”

During the event, local restaurants provided dishes for people to try, and the attendants got to vote for their favorites. This year’s champion was The Middle Fork. The Forge earned second place and Wyoming Catholic College Catering earned third.

Much of the proceeds from this years event came in the form of silent and live auctions of artwork, dental work and specialty beers.
