(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Central Wyoming College Board of Trustees was pleased to hear that eight of the 10 subcontractors for the work being done on housing at the Sinks Canyon Center are all Fremont County companies. Vice President for Administrative Services Ron Granger presented the board with the list during last Wednesday night’s board meeting. All 10 are from Wyoming. “I think it’s great,” Granger said, noting that the project is adding to the local economy. SDI out of Lander is the lead contractor for the $900,000 project, which includes building a bunkhouse and upgrading the cabins  and the Orchard House. The guaranteed maximum price was approved in October 2013, and SDI advertised for subcontractors in December. The board did not have to vote on the list. The subcontractors are: Artery Construction (Lander), Intermountain Builders Inc. (Lander), Giddings Construction Inc. (Riverton), Paint Systems (Lander), Bill Jones Plumbing & Heating (Lander), Sweetwater Aire LLC (Lander), Hoffman Electric (Riverton), Doorways of Wyoming (Cheyenne), FireTech (Gillette), and AD Martin Lumber (Riverton).
