(Cheyenne, Wyo.) – Governor Matthew H. Mead has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flags be flown at half-staff statewide from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in honor of Chief Warrant Officer 3 Andrew L. McAdams who was killed in action in Afghanistan on Friday, January 10, 2014.
“I am saddened beyond words to learn of Andrew’s death. I saw him off when he was deployed. His commitment to this great country was deep; his bravery was remarkable – the utmost. We will never be able to repay him and his family for the sacrifice they made to protect our liberty and to make the world a better place. My family’s thoughts and prayers are with the McAdams’ family,” Governor Mead said in a statement earlier this week.
