(Riverton, Wyo.) – Mutual combat between a couple in the throes of a divorce resulted in both of them being arrested for Domestic Violence Battery early today.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Mary Ann Drive at 2:30 a.m. early this morning on the report of a male refusing to leave the residence. When police arrived they could hear “yelling and screaming” coming from the residence, according to a report. Officers contacted a female who was visibly upset who said she and her husband had gotten into an argument that had gotten physical. She said it started as a verbal argument about the house and children but became physical after she told him to leave and he refused, according to a police report. Marone reported that Fried had pushed her to the floor of the kitchen and that she then picked up a dining table bench and struck him in the head with it. She told officers that she then ran to a back bedroom and he followed her, punching holes in the wall. He again pushed her to the ground and another woman in the residence called police.

The Fried substantiated everything Marone said. He ended up with a knot on his head where he was struck by the bench. Both were intoxicated. He had a BAC level of .09 percent and she was .08 percent. They were separated and arrested.
