(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Edwards Group, parent company of KVOW/KTAK radio stations in Riverton, has entered into an agreement to buy four radio stations and one translator in Wyoming. These stations were purchased from Carol Carroll, Wind River Communications, Inc. and Carjim LLC. The stations include KRTZ, KWYW and KDNO – all 100,000-watt FM stations covering central Wyoming. KTHE, an AM station licensed to Thermopolis, is also included in the transaction.
“We have wanted to add these stations in Wyoming for many years and are happy that the purchase was completed successfully,” said Jerry Edwards, co-owner of Edwards Group in a prepared release. “As a company, we are looking forward to future growth and success in our media outlets.”
According to the news release, Edwards Group owns 16 radio stations and 12 print titles in three states: South Carolina, Wyoming and Michigan. Edwards Group is owned by Jerry and Steve Edwards, with corporate offices located in South Carolina
