(Riverton, Wyo.) – Registration and association meetings begin today as part of the annual Mid Winter Fire School sponsored by the Riverton Fire Department and the Wyoming State Firefighters Association. The registration and vendor area is at Fire Station #1 in the 300 block of East Washington. Registration begins at 10 a.m.

The various association meetings for the firefighters, fire chiefs, fire foundations and a certifications committee, start at 10 a.m. at the Wyoming Fire Academy.

Some 500 plus firefighters, instructors and vendors are expected in Riverton over the weekend. Firefighting training classes begin tomorrow morning at the Fire Academy on Smith Street, at Station #1, and at Central Wyoming College.

RFD Captain Scott Walters is the chairman of the event.
