(Lander, Wyo.) – Proceeds from a film viewing on Friday evening will benefit the Lander Search and Rescue crew.

The National Outdoor Leadership School is hosting the viewing of “Into the Mind,” a film by Sherpas Cinema at Lander Valley High School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

“LSAR has a long history of service in the community and would not be where it is today without the generous support of both time and financial resources of this community,” states a news release from NOLS.

A pre-party will be held from 5-6 p.m. at the Coalter Loft. Tickets to the screening are $10 and are available at the pre-party and the LVHS auditorium door starting at 6 p.m.

“LSAR is the first response when people get hurt or go missing in the backcountry in this area,” NOLS states. “They are highly trained, streamlined volunteers who drop what they’re doing without hesitation to give aid to those in need. This event will support and celebrate their ongoing efforts and is an opportunity for media to talk to these volunteers.”
