(Riverton, Wyo.) – Two vacancies on the Riverton City Council will officially be declared at tonight’s regular meeting following the resignations last month of Councilors Eric Heiser and John “Lars” Baker. Making the vacancies official begins the process to fill those vacancies, in Ward I and Ward III. The council will begin advertising for interested residents in those two wards to apply for the vacancies.
Two existing council members will be appointed to the Fremont County School District #25 Recreation Board at tonight’s meeting, and the council will make appointments for the Municipal Court Judge, an Alternate Court Judge and the City Attorney.
On third and final reading is the ordinance to regulate door-to-door solicitations in the city.
The council’s Finance Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m., followed by the council’s pre-meeting at 6:45 at Riverton City Hall. The regular meeting begins at 7 p.m.
