(Casper, Wyo.) – The Natural Resources Conservation Service reported this morning that even though the statewide Snow Water Equivalent dropped to 119 percent of median, it still bests last year at this same week when the snowpack was at 88 percent.
The Wind River Basin snowpack was measured at 109 percent of the median according to Monday’s report, compared with 113 percent last week. One year ago, the Wind River Basin was reporting 104 percent of the median.
The Sweetwater drainage this week was at 90 percent of the median, compared with 94 percent last week and 112 percent one year ago.
The most snowpack continues to be in Northeast Wyoming in the drainage of the Belle Fourche River.
