(Lander, Wyo.) – On Thursday, Trihydro donated three laptops to the Lander Volunteer Fire Department.
“We’re going to get a lot of use out of them,” Fire Administrator Nick Hudson said. One will be used by himself for administrative purposes, another will be used for training for one of the department’s captains, and the third will be used for record keeping. In recent years as the department has moved toward using more digital resources, Hudson said many personal computers were used as well as some borrowed from the state.
“Since 2012, Trihydro has donated over 20 laptops to volunteer fire departments and schools across the US including those in Ft. Collins, CO, Amarillo, TX, Sunburst, MT, and Franklin, VA,” Trihydro Senior Engineer and Geologist Ken Schreuder said. “The goal of this program is to identify worthy organizations who are very much in need of updated technology, and to reduce electronic waste that would otherwise just be ground up for recycling.”
