(Lander, Wyo.) – Students in an after-school art class through the Lander Art Center braved yesterday’s snowstorm and posted public service announcement posters around town.

Instructor Dannine Donaho said the 9- to 12-year-olds did drawings and created slogans for the PSAs. They then got to screen print  their own posters.

Subject matters ranged from “Save the manatees” to “Walk like an Egyptian” to “Fight Monsters.”

“The idea is to get folks thinking or maybe have a little laugh,” Donaho said. “Also, the idea of hanging hand-printed posters in a public venue was important. We would encourage passersby to take a poster if it speaks to them or if they know the artist.”
