(Lander, Wyo.) – The Lander City Council tonight is expected to take the first step toward annexing 16.59 acres on the west end of town.
The acreage is located west of Smith Street, north of Spriggs Street and south of Irwin Lane. The annexation as well as the subdivision of the property is the topic of a public hearing starting at 6 p.m., to be held at Lander City Hall.
The annexation will take three readings to be approved, the first of which is scheduled tonight. The subdivision will not be voted on until the third reading of the annexation is complete.
Following Tuesday’s special meeting a work session will be held to discuss an agreement with Wyoming.com, an update on the rodeo ground relocation project and the possible appointment of Community Resource Gary Michaud to the new Lander Economic Development Association board.
