(Riverton, Wyo.) – One of the highlights at last week’s Fremont County School Dstrict #25 School Board meeting was an appearance by the Riverton High School Girls Volleyball team. The team members presented the district with the 4th place trophy they won at the recently concluded State Volleyball Tournament.

“You scan compete with anybody,” said Superintendent Terry Snyder. “You got better every week through a lot of great depth and contribution by so many of the team members. This was not a team of one or two stars, but a team of stars.” Snyder also noted that coming from Nebraska, “The quality of volleyball in Wyoming in excellent. Thanks for the pleasure I got from watching you. I never saw whining or blaming, just grit, grime and determination,” he said.

Outgoing board chairman Mark Stone said the team had represented the city very well. “You are a great team and I hope you take advantage to the fullest and enjoy every minute of your time together (in high school). You have a chance to compete at a high level here.”
