(Lander, Wyo.) – On Friday afternoon, keep a look out for these Tiger green hats around the Lander area. People wearing them will be doing good deeds.

Lander Valley High School students will be participating in the first ever Giving Day.

LVHS Principal Dr. Lisa Hafer said the community gives much to the high school and this is one way the students can give back.

Guidance Counselor Jacquie Sixby said the students will be out in the community between 1 and 3 p.m. Among the projects are: Methodist Thrift Shop, Westward Heights, Fremont Music to help with inventory, Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army at local stores, Lander Pet Connection, Caroling Downtown, Game and Fish Department, Community Cleanup in Ft. Washakie, Shovel Walks, Making Christmas Ornaments for Trees auctioned off to benefit the Lander Volunteer Fire Department and Fathers in the Field, and working with some of the elementary school students.
