(Riverton, Wyo.) – Police were called to the Holiday Inn off of East Sunset at 1:48 a.m. today to investigate a reported case of one individual threatening another.

A student at Central Wyoming College told police he had been receiving very disturbing and explicit texts from another student.  The man threatened various means of violence and torture and said he was “going to put a bullet through his skull and make him suffer,” plus other unspeakable actions.

Police made contact with the student who made the threats and discovered the 19-year-old man from Riverside, California, had a large arsenal in his truck parked on campus.

Riverton Police Captain Eric Murphy said the teen was found to be in possession of a loaded Glock .40 hangun, an AR-15 .223 caliber rifle, a Benelli Super Nova 12 gauge shotgun, a Ten Point Total Extrme Crossbow with an Accudraw assist system and a large Machete style knife with a 14 inch blade. Police also found a black ballistic vest.

Murphy said no charges have yet been filed as the RPD is consulting with officials from the college.
