(Lander, Wyo.) – The Fremont County Commission this morning welcomed Tracy Cook, the new Fremont County Library System Director.
“Yesterday was her first day on the job,” Commissioner Stephanie Kessler said.
Cook introduced herself to the commission. She said she had served as a consultant with the Montana State Libraries. She said she would conduct new director orientations, did budget trainings and has an expertise in library law.
“Sounds like you’re coming with a ll the skills we need,” Commissioner Keja Whiteman said.
Commission Chairman Doug Thompson suggested she look into potential partnerships with the schools’ and Central Wyoming College’s libraries to help get county residence better access to information. Cook said that was already on her radar to look into. Thompson said there was interest in the past, but no movement ever occurred.
