(Lander, Wyo.) – City of Lander crews have begun work to repair a water line break on South Ninth Street that was reported earlier this morning.

Public Works Director Mickey Simmons said that the exact location of the break on the 6-inch line is unknown as of 8:30 a.m. and digging through the street will have to be done to locate it.

Impact on area residents is also unknown at this time. Depending on where it is located and how many valves need to be closed for the repair, as few as several homes and as much as several blocks could be affected, Simmons said.

More information will be reported as it comes available.
