(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Wind River Hotel and Casino will play against employees of the Northern Arapaho Tribe in two basketball games on December 5 at Great Plains Hall in Arapahoe, Wyo. A women’s game will start the event at 6 p.m. with the men’s division to follow at 7 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children. Players from the St. Stephen’s boys’ basketball team will be selling food items out of the concession stand.

All funds raised during the games will go towards Slots for Tots which is an annual slot tournament held at the Wind River Hotel and Casino. This year’s event is set for December 5, 2013 at 8 p.m.

In its fifth year, Slots for Tots has helped over 1,000 children in foster care receive a Christmas present. Last year, 794 children received a gift. All presents were delivered to the Northern Arapaho Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, and the Northern Arapaho and Riverton Department of Family Services. Each agency then wraps each present and delivers the gifts before Christmas.

“This is a way of giving back to the community,” Slots for Tots Organizer Robert Duran said. “Some of these programs rely on the gifts.”
