Riverton High School presents ‘A Night of One Acts’ – One act plays performed by Riverton High School students will start at 7 p.m. at CWC’s Robert A. Peck Arts Center Theatre.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 4

Wind River Schools’ Holiday Craft Fair and Home Business Expo - Fremont County School District 6 invites the community to its 5th annual craft fair and expo from 5-7 p.m. at the Wind River High School Commons.

Public Meeting on Riverton Justice Center Project - The Fremont County Commissioners will hold a public meeting for the purpose of receiving comments regarding the proposed construction of the Fremont County Justice Center in Riverton. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Riverton City Hall. Read more about the project here.

 

Thursday, Dec. 5

Wild Iris Mountain Sports: Guy’s Night/Lander Pet Connection Fundraiser - Wild Iris’s fourth annual Guys Night from 5-8 p.m. will feature beer, bourbon, food, discounts and a raffle raffle to benefit the Lander Pet Connection. Contact Wild Iris for more information at 332-4541.

Wyoming Game & Fish Department Information Gathering Meeting – This Dubois meeting is an opportunity to share any information, observations, or ideas that might be valuable for the department to develop 2014 season proposals. Friday, Dec. 6

Wind River Schools’ Senior Citizen Christmas Luncheon – The meal will be prepared by the Pro-Start class and will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Wind River High School Commons. Please RSVP or for more information, call 856-7970, ext. 2.

Light Up Lander - The fun at Centennial Park in Lander starts at 5 p.m., and the 200 and 300 blocks of Main Street will be closed to foot traffic only during the festivities. Read more about the event here.

Christmas Merrymaking – The silent auction and social begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Shoshoni Senior Center, followed by a prime rib dinner at 6 p.m. and dancing. Call 876-2703 to register. Registration ends at 3 p.m. on Dec. 4.

Positively Ballet presents the Nutcracker - Tickets to the 6:30 p.m. “Miniature Sweets” production of the Nutcracker are $10/person or $25/family and are available from Positively Ballet dancers or Wyoming Quilts at 305 Main in Lander. Portions of the proceeds will go to the Lander Community Center. Colleen Drury Open Studio - Colleen Drury will present new work and hold demonstrations at her studio in Kinnear (78 Lakeview Drive) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Discounts will be available on certain items as well.

Riverton Christmas Craft Festival - The Riverton Christmas Craft Festival, held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will feature artists from all over Wyoming. It is located this year at St. Margaret’s Gym at North 7th East and East Park. For information, call 856-1423.

Riverton United Methodist Church Christmas Bazaar – The homemade crafts, candy and baked goods fair is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church.

American Legion Auxiliary Holiday Sale – The sale will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lander VFW. Santa will be there, and proceeds from the sale will go to support Veteran’s programs.

3rd annual Nativity Walk - Enjoy a walk through a number of Nativity Scenes, live music, warm beverages and a small craft fair at the United Presbyterian Church in Riverton from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Frankenstein performance - Live streamed performance of Frankenstein, a play by Nick Dear based on the novel by Mary Shelley, will be held at the Lander Library at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

Sunday, Dec. 8

Art in the Afternoon – The Lander Art Center’s annual art fair at the Nobel Hotel is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entry is $2, and proceeds benefit the Art Center. A members only preview will be held from 9-10 a.m. For more information, call 332-5772.

Lander Economic Development Presentation - Local business owners Mike Lilygren and Cade Maestas will be giving a presentation on a new Economic Development push in Lander at 5:30 p.m. at the Cowfish. Presentation followed by an open forum. All interested parties are invited. Appetizers provided by LEADER. Cash bar available. Childcare provided.

Compassionate Friends Candle Lighting – The Fremont County lighting will be at 7 p.m. at Jason’s Park at 110 S. First Street in Riverton.
