(Lander, Wyo.) – The Fremont County Commission on Tuesday is scheduled to get an update on draft plans for the Mortimore Lane Reconstruction and Pathway project.
The commission had expected to see the draft plan put together by Dowl HKM last month, but the plan weren’t yet complete. The discussion about the plans are scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
The commission’s meeting is set to begin at 9 a.m. in the Fremont County Commission’s chambers at the courthouse in Lander.
In the afternoon, the commission will interview three candidates for the Fremont County Ambulance Director position. Former Director Lauri Wempen resigned in July, citing a lack of direction from the commission. “Due to the Board’s reluctance or unwillingness to continue the high level of emergency care to the public as has been demonstrated by this year’s budgeting process, I am no longer willing to accept the responsibility and liability that goes with the position,” she wrote in her resignation letter. (Read more about her resignation here.)
Todd Smith has served as interim director since that time.
Also on Tuesday’s agenda is five year plan for Capital Improvement Maintenance Projects: Long-term committee, Shoshone National Forest updates, justice center funding, and more.
