(Lander, Wyo.) – The Lander City Council will continue its debate over potential water and sewer rate increases during tonight’s work session.
The discussion-only meeting is set to begin at 6 p.m. at Lander City Hall.
What philosophy to raise the rates by is the largest point of contention. Some of the councilors feel all users should be paying for what they use, which would result in significant bill increases for large capacity customers. However, others are concerned that large increases to commercial customers could result in hardships to businesses, and could cause a couple to go out of business or be forced to leave town.

Also on the agenda tonight are Blue Tooth/Cell phone use in city vehicles, a council video system and staff updates.
