(Lander, Wyo.) – In a joint effort, the Lander Police Department and Lander Valley High School will conduct a school emergency response drill at LVHS Wednesday afternoon.
The event, which will include some emergency vehicles in the building parking lot, is scheduled from 2:35 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This will take place after the regular early release.
“The entire LVHS campus will be closed to students and public during this time,” Assistant Brad Neuendorf said. “Please ensure that your student has plans to vacate the campus immediately after school. We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to increase the safety of our campus.”
School Resource Officer Jake Conilogue said he hopes the drill will help iron out logistics of emergency responses in order for additional planning and rills to take place in the future.
