Drive-thru Flu Shot Clinic set Tuesday at Shoshoni; Office flu shots now available at Public Health offices

(Fremont County, Wyo.) – Fremont County Public Health will be conducting a mass vaccination drive-thru clinic this coming Tuesday, October 22nd in Shoshoni at the Shoshoni High School, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  The clinic will be utilizing the parking lot off of California Street to administer flu shots via a drive-thru setting. Only 4 people per car, and no pets allowed.

“This will provide training to our staff to enhance emergency preparedness, in regards to a mass vaccination clinic,” a news release from Fremont County Public Health stated. “In the event Public Health would be called upon to administer vaccines to a large amount of people in a short amount of time, we would utilize a drive-thru type setting. In the past we have held similar drills in Lander and Riverton, but have chosen to use the community of Shoshoni this year, in order to practice using their resources for future planning.”

Cost of the vaccine is $20.00 per person. Public Health will bill Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna or EBMS insurance. Cash, Check, VISA or Mastercard will also be accepted.
