(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Riverton City Council will meet in regular session tonight with a light agenda, highlighted by two presentations. The first is an update on fund raising from the Central Wyoming Skatepark Association and the second is the annual report of the Riverton Volunteer Fire Department.
The skatepark association will report that, to date, they have raised just over $28,000 in a drive to fund a new skatepark, estimated to cost $224,905. The council will be presented with plans for the new skatepark, the location of which has not yet been determined. The present skatepark, fashioned out of plywood, is located next to the band shell in Riverton City Park.
Two tree trimming businesses have submitted business license applications to work in the city; Four catering permit applications will be up for approval as will one open container permit.
Mayor Ron Warpness is scheduled to issued a proclamation for Extra Mile Day on on November 1 and a public hearing and consideration of a liquor license transfer involving the Time Out Bar will be held.
The regular council meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Riverton City Hall, preceded by a 15 minute review of the agenda at 6:45 p.m. Both are open to the public.
