There are always outstanding performances on the field in Wyoming prep football. Here are some of the highlights from the 5th Week of football.
Week 5 Keep in mind these are from stats submitted by schools around the state. There are some schools that do not submit information, therefore, they are not included in Peak Preps. Also, games on Monday were not included in the Peak Preps calculations, but, coaches were asked to submit Monday great performances.
Rushing: Tui Magalogo, Lyman, 339 yards and 22 carries and 4 td’s against Thermopolis. Adam Haberkorn of Cheyenne South ran the ball an incredible 42 times for 213 yards and two scores. Dillion Pickett of Lyman ran 32 times for 210 yards and 3 scores. Wyatt Hageman of Lingle rushed 21 times for 208 and 2 td’s while Landen Bradshaw of Lyman added 192 yards and 2 td’s on 24 carries for the Eagles.
Passing: Austin Housekeeper of Mountain View was 21 of 45 for 289 yards and 3 td’s with 1 INT vs Pinedale. Seth Bennett of Meeteetse threw for 188 yards on 6 of 18 and 4 scores. Calder Forcella of Greybull was 16 of 27 for 185 vs Lovell with 1 TD. Austin Fort of Gillette was 14 fo 20 for 180 yards against Sheridan with 2 td’s.
Recieving: Talon Nelson of Gillette caught 6 passes for 124 yards and 2 scores. Carter Johnson of Meeteetse caught 4 for 122. All four catches were for touchdowns. Kason Clutter of Greybull caught 7 for 101 yards.
Defense: Drew Rollins of Lyman and Cody Headly of St Stephens each collected 44 points. Rollins had 12.5 tackles, 3 for loss, an interception and a BK. Headly had 5 tackels, 1 sack, 2 pass break ups and 4 BK’s. Ethan Egle of Pinedale had 43 points with 16.5 tackles, 1 fumble recovery and 1 INT. Carrico Walker of Dubois had 43 points with 2 fumble recoveries, 1 BK, and 12.5 tackles.
All Purpose Yards: Seth Bennett of Meeteetse collected 409 yards on 22 touches and scored 31 points. Tui Magalogo of Lyman 22 touches for 229 yards and 26 points. Austin Housekeeper of Mountain View accounted for 64 touches and 334 yards. Tevis Bartlett of Cheyenne East had 47 attempts and 272 yards.
Scoring: Bennette, 31, Magalogo 26, Housekeeper 25, Bartlett 24, Sterling Baker, Dubois, 24, Taylor Rouse, Kaycee 24.
Great Games: Kaycee Sophomore QB Taylor Rouse had a 154 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns, 6/8 passing for 92 yards and two touchdowns, No interceptions.
The Lusk Tiger defense: held Pine Bluffs to 17 Rushes for -37 yds. 3 for 25 passing for -7. That’s -44 yards for the game.
