(Riverton, Wyo.) – Riverton streets are filled this morning with the sounds of sirens, chain saws, exploding transformers and breaking tree limbs, and in some cases, entire trees. At the same time, a mobile home fire was reported in the 1700 block of East Monroe, taking fire crews off of tree limb removal and into full firefighting mode.

Riverton Fire Department Administrator Jeff Kehl said from 10:30 p.m. Thursday night to mid-morning on Friday, the RFD ¬†responded to 38 separate weather-related calls with personnel or apparatus. “And people are at work, I expect we’ll get more calls when people find out their driveways or entrances to their houses are blocked by tree limbs and such.”
