Lander Regional Hospital (LRH) today announced that Travis Walker, M.D., has joined its staff and will be offering general surgical services to patients in Fremont County. Dr. Walker, a Wyoming native, is one of four new physicians to begin practicing in Fremont County this year as the hospital continues to grow its primary care and surgical services.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Walker home to Wyoming to practice in Fremont County,” said Steve Erixon, CEO of LRH and Riverton Memorial Hospital. “General surgery is a need in our community, and Dr. Walker’s training at the University of Colorado has given him a great breadth of experience in a wide range of procedures that people in our region need.”
Dr. Walker joins the hospital’s medical staff following a residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Denver. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Science Center.
Dr. Walker began seeing patients at Walker Surgery and Endoscopy earlier this month.
