(Lander, Wyo.) – The U.S. Forest Service is hosting a volunteer event to clean up trails and campsites at the OK Corral climbing area for Public Lands Day 2013.
Public Lands Day is this Saturday, Sept. 28.
The forest service is seeking volunteers to help clear approved trails around the climbing area, located near Wild Iris on South Pass, as well as block and reclaim old, unapproved trails.
The work will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tools, hard hats and a snack will be provided. Volunteers are expected to bring gloves, eye protection, water and lunch. No RSVP is necessary.
Volunteers can carpool by meeting at the forest service office at 8:30 a.m. or meeting at the Wild Iris parking lot on Limestone Mountain Road at 9:45 a.m.
