Fremont County, Wyo. – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lander Regional Hospital and Riverton Memorial Hospital are excited to offer extended hours for mammography screenings. In addition to regular scheduling, both hospitals will schedule screening mammograms from 4:20 p.m. to 6 p.m. each Wednesday in October.
“Having a mammogram annually is important for diagnosing breast cancer at its earliest, most curable stages,” Steve Erixon, CEO of LRH and RMH, said. “In the continuous effort to make our communities healthier, we are excited to increase the number of opportunities patients have to get this important screening.”
Mammograms scheduled during extended hours will be read by the radiologist the following day.
