(Lander, Wyo.) – Today’s themed Homecoming dress-up day at Lander Valley High School was Heroes and Villains.
Students and staff came dressed as all sorts of comic book, movie and video game characters. The photos here are only a sampling of some of the great costumes worn today. Principal Dr. Lisa Hafer said she dressed as a hero LVHS student, wearing a jersey, and Assistant Principal Brad Neuendorf wore a red shirt to represent villain Riverton High School. Neuendorf was unavailable for a photo at the time County10.com visited the school.
The homecoming pep rally and parade are Friday. The rally will be held shortly before 1 p.m., followed by the annual parade through downtown Lander at 1:30 p.m. This year’s route differs slightly from past years. The parade goes from the high school, right on Main all the way to South Sixth street, up South Sixth to Gannett Peak Elementary, around GPS (the bus loop), and ends on South Fifth street.
The Marching Band Tail Gate begins at 5 p.m. at the stadium. Hamburgers or hot dogs with chips, beans and dessert will be available for $6.
This year’s game is against Jackson High School and will start at 7 p.m.
