(Riverton, Wyo.) – In an effort to help fight hungar locally, Great Lakes Aviation Ltd. is hosting the fifth annual “Flyin’ 4 Food” campaign to benefit the Fremont County Good Samaritan Center in Riverton.
According to the airline, more than 48 million Americans, including 16.2 million children, are dealing with hunger. Of all households in the country, 14.5 percent do not have nough food.
“These statistics are staggering, and just a small snapshot of the true impact hunger has on our nation,” the company said in a news release. “This September, Great Lakes Airlines and the Fremont County Good Samaritan Center need you help to end hunger in your community.”
Donations of non-perishable food items may be dropped off at the Great Lakes counter at Riverton Regional Airport Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those donated are eligible for a chance to win one of four round-trip tickets between Riverton and Denver. One entry per person, per week is permitted.
