(Lander, Wyo.) – The Lander Volunteer Fire Department’s annual pancake breakfast fundraiser is Saturday, Aug. 24 at the fire hall.
Fire Administrator Nick Hudson said the breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. Cost is $5 a plate for adults and $3 for children.
The money raised from this year’s breakfast and from other future fundraising opportunities will be put toward new equipment for the department’s new ladder truck. The nearly $1 million apparatus has been ordered and is expected to arrive next March.
Hudson said LVFD is currently operated by 35 volunteers and called Saturday’s breakfast a good opportunity to learn more about what they do, especially if someone is interested in becoming a volunteer fire fighter. He said anyone with questions is welcome to come and “grab a fireman and ask him.”
