(Riverton, Wyo.) – There’s a new face at Riverton City Hall that people seldom see, except that is, when there’s a computer or tech problem. That’s when Alex Engelhart responds. Engelhart is the third member of the city’s Information Technology team at City Hall, joining Network Administrator Tim Hugus and IT Tech Adam Wyrick.
The IT team at City Hall is charged with the maintenance and upgrades of the city’s communication, technology and network infrastructure for all city departments, both at City Hall and out in the field.
The city council approved a third IT position when it approved its 2013-14 Fiscal Year budget last month.
According to the city’s website, which the trio is also assists with, Hugus, Wyrick and Engelhart “install and ensure proper functioning of licensed software, administer multiple city-wide databases, install and repair hardware, manage sophisticated netorking and communications systems, provide in-house end-user training and arreange for outsourced end-user training as needed.”
A Minnesota native, Engelhart joined the city at the start of the new fiscal year last month. He’s not a stranger to the Wind River Country though, having spent the past three years here.
