(Rock Springs, Wyo.) – A two-year-long investigation on regional methamphetamine activity resulted in 10 search warrants being executed this past week and 24 people arrested in Rock Springs, Green River and Evanston. The investigation involved drug distribution activities in Fremont, Sweetwater, Sublette, and Uinta counties, according to a published account in SweetwaterNow.com.

Participating agencies assisting the DCI included the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, U.S. Marshal Service, FBI, Wyoming Highway Patrol, the police departments in Rock Springs, Green River and Evanston and the county sheriff’s departments in Sweetwater, Sublette, Lincoln and Uinta counties.

Those arrested include:

  • Rosendo Campos, 18, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Pablo Vargas-Adame, 32, Rock Springs, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Gabriel Martinez-Illesca, 46, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
  • Jaime Sanchez-Marquez, 40, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
  • Maria De La Cruz-Vargas, 46, Green River, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Robert Bower, 28, Evanston, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Francisco Hernandez-Marquez, 28, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Jose Flores-Santos, 23, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
  • Manuel Hernandez-Marquez, 19, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.
  • Kandace Quezada-Moreno, 27, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
  • Anna Peterson, 31, Superior, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
  • Martha Hernandez, 48, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine

  • Ricardo Marin,18, Rock Springs, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine/delivery of methamphetamine.
  • Crystal Espino, 27, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Cristopher Robinson, 22, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine.

  • Samuel Campos, 19, Rock Springs, alleged delivery of methamphetamine/conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
  • Luis Govea Vargas, 28, Green River, alleged delivery of methamphetamine
  • Carmen Torres-Lara, 18, Rock Springs, alleged conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine
  • Kristen Brough, 36, Rock Springs, alleged misdemeanor possession of controlled substance.
  • Lupe Loredo,20, Rock Springs, alleged possession of a controlled substance.

In May, DCI and Fremont County law enforcement made six arrests related to methamphetamine distribution. Timothy Pitt, 31, Hudson; Travis Fauque, 21, Lander; Abigail White, 21, Riverton; Shene Springfield, 37, Lander; Anthony Hernandez, 42, Riverton; and Lyle Haukaas, 34, Hudson were all arrested and charged with a single count of Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine. Each charge is a felony punishable by 20 years imprisonment and or a fine of $25,000 or both. Five of the six have pleaded not guilty. Hernandez was bound over to Wyoming’s Ninth District Court on July 12. He has not yet been arraigned. Read more about the local case here.
