(Fremont County, Wyo.) – You’ll find plenty to do during the Rendezvous weekend July 19-21. Start the weekend off with the Friday Night Cruise. Hot cars … cool bikes! After a parade through downtown Riverton, participants park and stay for a real “street party” with sidewalk booths, food stands, and a variety of special events. This year the Rocky Mountain Rebels are hosting a swap meet at the Car and Bike Show. Buy, sell, and trade collector car and bike parts.

But the Rendezvous isn’t all that’s happening this weekend. The first annual Youth Fishing Derby is scheduled for Saturday at Boysen Reservoir. The derby will be for youth participants 13 years of age and under. After registering, children can pick up free fishing poles at Boysen Lake Marina or Lip Rippers starting at 6 a.m. The fishing boundaries are Boysen Reservoir and the Wind River from the  dam to the tunnels. Read more about the event here.

The Sinks Canyon Bam Bam Slam event will take place all day on Saturday with the theme of Bighorn sheep and feature activities such as a morning 5-mile trail run, kids’ activities, a bake sale and a memorial service for the infamous Sinks Canyon Bighorn, Bam Bam. Get details on the event here.

In Ethete, 6th annual Buffalo Tracks Running Club Challenge Run is Saturday at 8 a.m. on 168 Yellowcalf Road (1 mile east of Ethete). There will be a 5k Run, 2 Mile Walk, and kid races. Entry is free, or $15 to include a T-shirt.

The Dubois Museum Day is also on Saturday. The free annual celebration of traditional Western activities features craft demonstrations and sales plus traditional food and entertainment. The event begins at 11 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m.
