(Riverton, Wyo.) - The Chalk the Walk/Sidewalk Art Festival at the Riverton branch library Wednesday evening drew a big crowd of artisans and onlookers and some colorful works. Most of the spectators sat on lawn chairs in the shade and occasionally got up to look at how the sidewalk art was progressing. Others sat and tapped their fingers or foot to the music of the Low Water String Band, themselves in a shaded spot on the lawn.
Out in front on the sidewalk, butterflies, trout, geometric designs, a beach scene, chalk art of a family’s new home and a mother’s message to her U.S. Army son overseas were just a half dozen of several dozen works being created.
