Climbers Fest, Day in the Park, Gold Rush Days all on tap today in the Wind River Country

(Fremont County, Wyo.) – There are big doin’s in Fremont County this weekend.

In Lander, the International Climbers Festival is underway around town, In Riverton on Saturday is the popular Rendezvous Day in the Park, and up at South Pass City State Historic Site on Saturday and Sunday, it’s Gold Rush Days. There’s plenty to see and do in the Wind River Country this weekend:

8 a.m. — 10 a.m. Mountain Hardwear Breakfast @ Wild Iris Crag

8 a.m. – 10 a.m. Shoe Demo Pickup w/ Red Chili, La Sportiva, Salewa, Scarpa, and FiveTen @ Wild Iris Climbing area

10 a.m – Clinics @ Wild Iris Crag

6 p.m. — 8 p.m. Keynote Speaker Seriers emceed by Timmy O’Neil @ Lander Valley High School

South Pass City Gold Rush Days

South Pass City State Historic Site
This fun event celebrates life in a western gold camp.  Gold Rush Days features a vintage base ball tournament played with turn-of-the-century uniforms and rules, Gold panning, stamp mill demonstrations, printing press demonstrations.  Live music in the saloons, billiards, anvil blasting & reenactments are just a few of the events that keep visitors entertained during the celebration. Events begin at 9 a.m. and run throughout the day Saturday and  Sunday.
