(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Wind River Transportation Authority (WRTA), operators of the blue buses throughout Fremont County, and the Linx regional transportation system will hold a briefing for the public on new service connecting the Wind River Country with Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks this summer. The meeting is set for the Wind River Casino Wednesday morning at 10.
“We are getting ready to launch the 2013 Linx Bus in Yellowstone program starting June 4th and we will share the planned routes and systems for the (Yellowstone service) and how it will connect with Fremont County,” said Collette Rinehart from Linx Transportation. “With WRTA joining the Linx Transportation Co-op, we will show how have we have closed the gap between Lander/Riverton/Dubois areas with connecting service to Cody, Jackson, Yellowstone and Grand Teton Parks this summer.”
With the help and suggestions of WRTA’s Ben Eastmond, following a survey of county residents, the new service plans bus stops at Central Wyoming College and Wind River Hotel & Casino in Riverton, in Lander at the NOLS Noble Hotel, at Fort Washakie’s Rocky Mountain Hall, and at Lamb Park in Dubois. Tickets and passes will be sold at most of these locations as well as from WRTA.
“After the briefing, we will continue with a training session for the Linx vendors who will be selling YNP day passes and Linx gateways tickets,” Rinehart said.
