Police Blotter: Arrests; RPD arrests teen for intent to deliver marijuana; Woman loses cash in Lander

(Lander, Wyo.) – Thursday’s law enforcement recap from across Fremont County.

Riverton Police Department

Arrests:

Travis Glaze, 28, Riverton, Probation Violation Warrant.

Delray Quiver, 35, Ethete, Municipal Warrant.

Alan Brown, 61, Riverton, Disturbing the Peace.

James Goggles, 48, Arapahoe, Municipal Warrant.

Cody Humphreys, 19, Shoshoni, Possession of a Controlled Substances with Intent to Distribute (marijuana). A 15-year-old Riverton boy was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance (marijuana) and a concealed weapon (brass knuckles). RPD Capt. CT Smith said police initiated a traffic stop for a driving violation at 11:17 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of North Eighth West and West Sunset. Smith said upon approaching the car, the officer could smell marijuana. Further investigation ended with finding several small baggies of marijuana and other items related to distribution. In all, Smith said there was about 1.5 ounces of the suspect drug in the vehicle.

A 16-year-old Riverton girl was cited for shoplifting. Police were called to Walmart at 2:29 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of shoplifting. Smith said the girl was caught trying to take $44 worth of jewelry.

Calls:

At 7:34 a.m. on Wednesday, police were called to the 800 block of North Federal for a report of a vehicle that was struck by another vehicle sometime over night. No additional information was available.

At 8:03 a.m., police took a report from a woman who said she was assaulted by her male passenger while she was driving and that the man fled the area. Police took a report.

Smith said police are reviewing surveillance video from Safeway regarding an alleged wallet theft. Police were called to the store at 4:10 p.m. by a man who said he left his wallet on a counter and the person behind him took it. Smith said the report is under investigation.

At 4:09 p.m., police were called by an automotive repair business for a report of someone who took their vehicle back without paying for services.

 

Fremont County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests:

Justin Bledsoe, 33, Riverton, Probation Revocation Warrant.

Robin Blind, 32, Riverton, Failure to Appear Warrant.

Calls:

At 10:43 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies took a report from an individual on the 700 block of Sand Mesa Road in Shoshoni about an abandoned vehicle on property she just purchased. The previous owner did not have a title for the vehicle.

At 2:30 p.m., deputies were called to Zuber Road near Riverton about a woman who has a vehicle that needed to be repossessed, but she wouldn’t tell anyone where it was.

At 2:39 p.m., a woman in the Lander area asked to speak with a deputy about drug activity in town.

At 3:31 p.m., deputies were called about some juveniles in Pavillion who might possess marijuana. The report is under investigation.

Arrests:

Markie Dickinson,  32, Lander, Fremont County Failure to Appear Warrant.

Calls:

At 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday, police were called about a husband and wife verbally arguing on Main Street. Det. Sgt. Fred Cox said the argument surrounded financial situations. Nor further police action was taken.

At 3:35 p.m., police were called to South First Street for a report of suspicious individuals. Cox said two people were just waiting for a ride.

At 1:53 a.m. on Thursday, police took a report from a man on North Seventh Street who said someone knocked on his door, but no one was there when checked outside.

At 8:03 a.m., police were called by a woman who said she lost $540 in cash somewhere in Lander.
