(Dubois, Wyo.) –  Wednesday night’s Dubois Town Council meeting included a preliminary discussion of a need for the town and planning commission to work toward possibly rezoning an area or areas within town limits to accommodate Class I and Class II mobile homes as designated by HUD standards.

The discussion was precipitated by the closing of one of the town’s existing mobile home developments by the end of 2013 which would necessitate the relocation of approximately 24 mobile home units. Residents of the development stated that some properties in one other existing trailer park zone were available, leaving the need to find sites for approximately 10 mobile homes.

Mayor and council members agreed to work with the Planning Commission in advance of the next regularly scheduled town council meeting to come up with options and to include the topic as an agenda item.

Fourteen Dubois residents attended last night’s regularly scheduled town council meeting.

Other agenda items approved at the meeting included:

-Approval to award construction contract to High Country Construction in the amount of $513,903.40 for the Dubois sewer project.

-Approval to renew daycare applications from Over the Moon Child Care and Morning Star Children’s Center.

-Approval to renew leases with the Western Fremont County Humane Society, High Country Senior Citizens Center and the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

-Approval of payment application 22 in the amount of $6,581.18 from HDR Engineering for Dubois Water Supply Project.

-Approval of accounts payable list dated March 8, 2013 except for invoice #63774b from HDR Engineering.

-Approval of accepting February 2013 financial report as presented.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 8 p.m.
