Rural Justice Training Center at CWC hosting “active shooter” training today and tomorrow

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Rural Justice Training Center at Central Wyoming College is hosting an Active Shooter Response training course today and tomorrow in Riverton. The course is geared towards both police and school administrators in response to an active shooter situation.

Some 40 attendees have registered for the session and spent the day Thursday in classroom sessions on campus. Friday the group will head to the Riverton Middle School for practical training inside a school building.

Attendees include school and law enforcement representatives from across Wyoming and as far west as Mountain Home, Idaho.
